Adam Hinch: What made you choose Bay?

Trevor Nolan: I talked to some other colleges but Bay showed a lot of interest and it’s close to home and that was my number one choice.

AH: What got you into basketball?

TN: I grew up around the sport my dad and uncle played and it’s been in my life since I was a young kid.

AH: Do you follow March Madness and what is your team?

TN: I do follow it and I was hoping that Michigan would take it, but it’s fun to watch.

AH: Who did you look up to as a kid playing basketball?

TN: Cade Contreras, who played for Munising and also went to Bay, and Kane Knebel were both big influences on me growing up.

AH: What is your favorite part of the basketball season?

TN: Being with my teammates and coaches we are all just like another family.

AH: What did you think of the Bay campus?

TN: I love it. It definitely feels like it could be home and I’m very impressed and can’t wait to get there.

AH: What do you think of Bay head coach Matt Johnson?

TN: He’s a great guy. He has coached me since I was in sixth grade and I have learned so much from him.

AH: What was your favorite moment from your high school career?

TN: Winning the state championship and celebrating with my teammates, coaches and community was super amazing.

AH: How did it feel to hit the 1,000 point mark in your high school career?

TN: It was awesome. It was a dream of mine growing up and even better knowing that my teammates helped me accomplish it.

AH: How do you feel getting to extend your career past high school?

TN: I am very excited. I’m looking forward to it and it’s a great opportunity.

AH: What are you planning to study at Bay College?

TN: I’m going to study for physical therapy. I have gone through it myself and it’s something I think I would be good at.
