Bellisle drops 42 with eight 3-pointers in GMC action

HERMANSVILLE — Aiden Bellisle set this year’s tournament highs in points and 3-pointers made Thursday night as Jim’s Plumbing defeated American Legion Post 340 79-71.

Bellisle had 42 points in the contest to go along with eight 3-pointers.

Joey Pontbriand had 18 points for Post 340 and Jake Polfus had 16.

In the Class E championship game, the Stephenson Strollers picked up a 69-34 victory over Wildwood.

Jake Brock and Jeff Starzinski each had 17 and Owen Kuehnau 11.

“It felt great to come out and play against some better competition,” Kuehnau said. “I have played with these guys all my life in open gyms and to get to play with these guys in a game is just awesome.”

The Class E All-Tournament Team is as follows, Jake Brock, Strollers; Justin Boongash, Strollers; Brayden Moss, Morning Ballers; Tom Granquist, Wildwood; Craig Carter, Wildwood; Jason Davis, Wildwood; and Owen Kuehnau, Strollers.

Outstanding Player in Class E was Jake Brock of the Strollers.

In the nightcap a Class D quarterfinal between Hermansville and LL3J had Hermansville come out on top 90-76. Morgan Sleik had a game high 22 points for Wildwood in the win.
