Norse set to entertain Delta in playoff openers

ESCANABA –It’s March, you know what that means in the world of basketball.
It’s time for madness. For Bay College mens and women’s basketball, the Madness starts on Tuesday night on their home floor.
The Norse are set to collide with Delta College in a Great Lakes District matchups. The women’s game is slated for 5:30 p.m. with the men’s beginning at 7:30 p.m.
On the women’s side in District B Quarterfinal action the Norse have two wins over the Pioneers, including an 81-60 win at Bay College on Feb. 22. Delta is 4-8 on the road this season.
Bay enters the game averaging 78.3 points per game. The Pioneers have been held under 78 points in 18 of their 26 games this season.
On the men’s side, District A Quarterfinal action, the Norse swept Delta in two regular season meeting, including a 97-75 win at Bay College on Feb. 22.
The Norse are averaging 89.3 points per game. The Pioneers have been held under 89 points in 17 of their 26 games.
