Esky girls drop road clash to Ishpeming
ISHPEMING –A flat second half plagued Escanaba girls’ basketball in a 78-46 road loss to Ishpeming on Thursday.
Hematites junior Jenessa Eagles finished with a game-best 33 points with 20 coming in the first half while knocking down five 3-pointers.
Senior Grayson LaMarche led the Eskymos (8-10) with 14 points. Senior Katey Lamb added 10 and junior Landry Bray netted eight points.
Ishpeming (12-5) got 16 points from junior Mya Hemmer.
The Eskymos return to action at 7:15 p.m. to face Menominee (6-11) on the road.
