Corkin continues hot streak in ice racing action

GWINN — The weekend was full of racing action at the Neil Sr. Memorial Raceway in Gwinn on Saturday.

Grayson Corkin continued to dominate the 50cc bike class as he took home his fourth consecutive heat and feature sweep in as many weeks. Daniel Stewart came in second while Lilah Wagner finished third. Jase Kay and Nolan Stewart rounded out the top five.

In the 65cc bike race, Chet Barto picked up the win over Levi Jacques in the two-driver field. Barto also won the heat race.

In the 85cc bike race, Riley Bennett picked up the feature win as well as a win in heat race action. Henry Mallory finished second and Barto finished third.

In the 400 rubber class, Brennon Detiege came away with the feature win as well as a win in heat race action. Hunter Couillard came in second and Chase Richer finished third. Caiden Mattonen and Chris Nelson rounded out the top five. Andrew Hill won the other heat race and Al Couillard and Austin Byczek advanced from the semi-feature.

In the B-Rubber class, Derek Pelkola took home the heat and feature sweep. Jake Micheau came in second and Cole Shepard finished third. Richer and Detiege rounded out the top five. Blaine Chemick won the other heat race and Jacob Kujala and Austin Byczek advanced from the semi-feature.

In the 250 bike class, Cash Pangborn picked up the feature win. Cole Pangborn came in second and won the heat race and Eric Smith finished third.

In the A-Rubber class, Sam Rasmussen picked up a heat and feature sweep. Tyler Johnson came in second and Levi Leutz finished third. Zack Kavern and Detiege rounded out the top five.

In the C-Rubber class, Micheau took home the feature win as well as a win in heat race action. Andrew Hill came in second and won the other heat race. Shepard finished third and Chris Nelson and Ethan Manninen rounded out the top five. Kujala and Ray Juidici advance from the semi-feature.

In the outlaw rubber class, Rasmussen picked up his second heat feature of the day. Johnson came in second and Kody Peterson finished third. Kavern and Travis Corken rounded out the top five.

In the women’s studded class, Leah Leutz picked up the feature win as well as a win in heat race action. Christy Fitzgerald came in second and Melinda Frey finished third. Kelsey Polequin rounded out the field.

In the A-Studded class Dan Kujala picked up the feature win. Tom Johns came in second and won the heat race. Mike Palm finished third and Parker Cain rounded out the field.

In the B-Studded class, Bobby Davis picked up the feature win. Mike Palm came in second and Cain finished third and won the heat race. Brandan Krauss and Lance Kay rounded out the top five.

In the outlaw studded class, Johns picked up the feature win. Dan Kujala came in second and won the heat race.

In the C-Studded class, Krauss picked up the feature win as well as a win in heat race action. Bobby Davis came in second and Jacob Kujala finished third. Levi Leutz and Tyler Racicot rounded out the top five.

In the 0-50 rubber class, Trae Nyquist picked up the feature win. Dane Maki came in second and Oliver Polequin finished third. Myles Dupont came in fourth and Nolan Stewart came in fifth and won his heat race.

In the 0-100 rubber class, Abbie Lantagne took home the feature win. Finn Bower came in second and won the heat race. Carson ner finished third and Landon Harris and Levi Jacques rounded out the top five.

In the women’s rubber class Leah Leutz picked up the feature win. Kelli Johnson came in second and Jordyn Pelkola came in third and won the heat race. Cassie Callahan and Sarah Grenier rounded out the top five.

In the Jr. Rubber class, Leah Leutz picked up the feature win. Chase Richer came in second and won the heat race. Jacob Kujala finished third and Ray Juidici finished fourth and won the other heat race and Bentley Richer rounded out the top five.

In the 0-124 modified rubber class, Riley Bower picked up the heat and feature sweep. Finn Bower came in second and Landon Harris finished third. Abbie Lantagne and Carson Wagner rounded out the top five.

In the A-Bike class, Cash Pangborn picked up the heat and feature sweep over Evan Chouinard in the two racer field.

In the B-Bike class, Chouinard picked up the feature win. Ryan Harris came in second and Eddie Forslund finished third. Grace Livingston and Cole Pangborn rounded out the top five.

In the C-Bike class, Jake Micheau picked up the feature win. Livingston came in second and Ryan Harris finished third and won the heat race. Eric Smith and Mike Getzloff rounded out the top five.

In the outlaw bike class, Cash Pangborn picked up the heat and feature sweep over Cory Pangborn in the two racer field.

In the 300 rubber class Brennon Detiege picked up the heat and feature sweep. Brandan Rae came in second and Tyler Johnson finished third. Hunter Couillard and Joey Stankowitz rounded out the top five.

In the 200cc bike class, Ryan Harris picked up the feature win. Marty Sundholm came in second and won the heat race and Riley Bennett finished third.
