GWINN — Saturday was filled with excitement as the Upper Michigan Ice Racing Association races took place in Gwinn.

In the kids 50cc bike race, Grayson Corkin took the feature win as well as the win in heat race action. Jase Kay took home a second place finish and Daniel Stewart finished third. Brinley Barto and Liliah Wagner rounded out the top five.

Chet Barto picked up a win in the kids 65cc bike race over Levi Jacques as the only two racers in the class. Barto also won in the heat race.

In the kids 85cc bike race, Riley Bennett picked up the heat and feature sweep. Henry Mallory finished second and Chet Barto finished third in the three bike field.

In the 0-400 rubber quad class, Andrew Hill picked up the feature win as well as a heat win. Chris Nelson finished second and Jacob Kujala finished third. Hunter Couillard finished fourth and won his heat race and Caden Mattonen rounded out the top five. Austin Byczek and Nathan Nelson advanced from the semi-feature.

In the B-rubber quad race, Derek Peikola picked up a heat and feature sweep. Kujala came in second and won his heat race. Jake Micheau came in third and Chase Richer and Ethan Manninen rounded out the top five. Manninen and Byczek advanced from semi-feature action.

In the 250cc bike race Ethan Maksim picked up the feature win as well as a win in heat race action. Clayton Eichhorn finished second and Dominic Heiting rounded out the three car field.

In the A-rubber quad race, Sam Rasmussen picked up the heat feature sweep and Tyler Johnson finished second. Nathan Nelson finished third and won the other heat race. Zach Kevern and Couillard rounded out the top five.

In the C-sportsman rubber quad race, Micheau took the feature win. Kujala raced to a second place finish. Cole Shepard finished third and Manninen and Ray Juidici rounded out the top five. Juidici and Andrew Hill won the heat races and Caiden Mattonen and Chris Nelson advanced from the semi-feature.

In the outlaw rubber class, Rasmussen picked up the heat feature sweep. Tyler Johnson finished second and won the other heat race. Eric Malmsten finished third. While Nelson and Couillard rounded out the top five.

In the women’s studded quad race, Melinda Frey picked up the feature win. Leah Luetz came in second and won the heat race. Kelsey Polequin finished third and Christy Fitzgerald rounded out the four car field.

The A-studded class saw Dan Kujala pick up the feature win. Tom Johns came in second and won the heat race. Dan Woodruff and Mike Palm rounded out the field.

In the B-studded class, palm picked up the feature win. Levi Luetz came in second and won the heat race. Brandan Krauss finished third. Bobby Davis and Couillard rounded out the top five.

The outlaw studded class Dan Kujala picked up the heat and feature sweep. Johns finished second and Woodruff rounded out the field.

In the C-sportsman studded class, Bobby Davis picked up the feature win. Levi Luetz came in second and won the heat race. Brandan Krause finished third. Tyler Racicot and KeithStone rounded out the top five.

In the utility quad race, Devin Racicot picked up the feature win. Manninen finished second. Joe Racicot finished third and Eddie Forslund and Kaydan Lindbert rounded out the top five. Forslund won the heat race.

In the kids 0-50 rubber quad race, Trae Nyquist picked up the heat and feature sweep. Skylar Bower raced to a second place finish. Noah Petroick came in third and Olivia Maki and Dane Maki rounded out the top five.

In the kids 0-100 rubber quad race Abbie Lantagne picked up the feature win. Landyn Petroick finished second and Abby Wyllys finished third. Weston Jacques and Kynley Lindert rounded out the top five Carson Wagner won the heat race.

In the women’s rubber class, Leah Luetz picked up the feature win. Kelli Johnson came in second after starting fourth. Andrea Couillard finished third and won the heat race. Maci Langtange Jenaya Beaver rounded out the top five.

In the kids 0-400 rubber quad race, Ray Juidici packed up the feature win. Marty Sundholm came in second and Leah Luetz finished third Bentley Richer and Caiden Lancour rounded out the top five. Chase Richer won the heat race but failed to start the feature.

In the kids 0-124 modified rubber quad race, Riley Bower picked up the heat and feature sweep. Carson Wagner finished second and Kyndley Lindbert came in third. Connor Thompson and Landyn Petroick rounded out the top five.

In the A-bike class, Evan Chouinard picked up the sweep winning the heat and feature. Ethan Maskim finished second and Clayton Eichhorn finished third.

In the B-bike class, Evan Chouillard picked up another heat and feature sweep. Ethan Maskim finished second. Clayton Eichhorn finished third. Tyler Melchiori and Ryan Harris rounded out the top five.

In the C-sportsman bike race, Jake Micheau picked up the heat and feature sweep. Melchiori finished second and Grace Livingston finished third. Harris and Forslund rounded out the top five.

In the 0-300 rubber quad race, Brandan rae picked up the heat feature sweep. Hunter Chouillard came in second and won the other heat race. Tyler Johnson finished third and Brennon Detiege and Joey Stankowitz rounded out the top five.

In the 200cc bike race Maskim picked up the heat and feature sweep. Ryan Harris finished second and Jesse Liss came in third. Marty Sundholm and Riley Bennett rounded out the top five.
