Meet the Athlete: Superior Central’s Ryder Kroupa
CARNEY — As we hit the halfway point of the 2024-25 boys basketball season the Superior Central Cougars sit at 3-8. During the Carney-Nadeau Holiday Tournament Daily Press sports writer Adam Hinch got a chance to sit down with Cougars sophomore Ryder Kroupa to discuss a variety of topics. Kroupa is averaging eight points, four rebounds and one steal per game.
Adam Hinch: When did you develop your passion for the sport of basketball?
Ryder Kroupa: Around first or second grade. It has always been my sport of choice. I have played other sports but basketball is number one to me.
AH: What are your favorite college and NBA teams?
RK: For the NBA the Hornets because I like LaMelo Ball and for college Michigan.
AH: What is your favorite part of the basketball season?
RK: I like the bus rides after a win, being able to hang out and have fun with the guys.
AH: What is your favorite subject in school?
RK: Math, because it’s the easiest for me.
AH: What is your pregame routine?
RK: Listen to music and stay hydrated and just relax.
AH: What do you like to do outside of basketball?
RK: I like to play video games, ride dirt bikes and hang out with family.
AH: What is your favorite food?
RK: I like meat and rice.
