EBEN JUNCTION — A strong defensive performance led Superior Central boys basketball to a 48-38 victory over Carney-Nadeau here Friday.

“Our defense played well,” Cougars coach Adam Ely said. “Zander played a tough game and played more as a playmaker rather than just a scoring threat which really helped us.”

Blake Tanner led the way for the Cougars with 15 points. Zander Bigger added 12 and Ryder Kroupa had eight.

The Wolves were led by Beau Maule with 12 points and Lane Mellin added 10.
