Gorzinski, Burton, Willa earn All-State honors

ESCANABA –North Central had a successful 2024 season with an 8-1 regular season finish and a conference championship.
The Jets also added a plethora of All U.P. honors, including 8-player Mr. Football. The Jets now have another claim to their successful season: a trio of First Team All-State honorees from the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association.
Lane Gorzinski earned All-State honors as a running back. Gorzinski produced 2020 yards and 33 touchdowns on the ground. He finished with 2923 total yards and 49 total touchdowns.
Aidyn Burton earned All-State honors as a defensive back. Burton tallied a team-best 109 total tackles (76 solo) with 18 tackles for loss, five sacks and four interceptions.
Spencer Willa earned All-State honors as a offensive lineman. Willa was part of a trio which led the charge of producing 3066 yards and 51 touchdowns on the ground and 4257 total offensive yards across 11 games.
North Central had three of 10 U.P. football players to earn 8-player All-State honors for division 2. Provided below is the full list of recipients:
