ESCANABA –Escanaba senior Keira Maki added one more accolade to her already lengthy resume.

Maki earned Division 2 Second Team All-State honors by the Associated Press.

During her final season with the Eskymos, Maki averaged 22.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.8 blocks and 2.7 assists per game. She shot 55% from the floor, a program record, and her 22.1 ppg clip is also a single-season record. Maki also set the single-season program record with 62 blocks and 60 steals. In a 63-31 win over Gwinn on Feb. 5, Maki became the sixth player in school history to eclipse 1,000 career points. Her 1,189 career points are third-most all-time.
