Insanity, is the only term I can use to describe the program that will take effect March 1st of this year. The program is called Rx Kids and was described in the Daily Press on February 21, 2025 edition. The article was titles UP Program Gives Cash to Parents of Newborns.

The latest is cash giveaway program is even more unbelievable than ever. “Rx Kids is that its not income based and there are no terms, no limitations on what the money can be used for” according to Dr. Mona Hanna, director of the program. The program has already begun as of March 1, 2025. According to the article, starting March of this year…..“all mothers whose babies are born after March 1st will be eligible. $1,500 during each month of pregnancy and $500 each month for 6 months after birth – towards food, diapers, rent, car payments or anything else.” $13,500 for each pregnancy plus $3,000 for 6 months after birth equal $16,500 – per each pregnant woman for the next two years that the program exists. Heaven help us if they decide to continue this program. The director went on to say, “This is for everyone, and there is no strings attached, because this is how we best care and love each other.” Laura Keen , director for Give Directly, said the application “was made as accessible as possible and available in English, Spanish and Arabic.”
