Your recent article titled “Town hall meeting set — with or without Bergman” is disgraceful and far below any level of journalism accuracy.

Here are a few points:

1. This so-called town hall meeting is being put together by far-left activists who have played this game since General Bergman was first elected in 2016.

2. Rep. Bergman never received an actual invitation to this town hall, which you would have known had you reached out to our comms team before writing this propaganda piece.

3. If the organizers or yourself took two seconds to look at the legislative calendar you would understand the day they planned this fake, attention-seeking town hall is a session day, further highlighting how unserious both this event and article is.

4. Rep. Bergman has held multiple town halls and community engagement events over his time in office and is back in District meeting with hundreds upon hundreds of his constituents regularly.

5. Rep. Bergman won his most recent election by over 100,000 votes. An overwhelming majority of his constituents believe he is doing the job they sent him to do, and that is why they continue to overwhelmingly send him to Washington as their representative.

6. As I’ve said before, maybe this far-left group of activists aren’t used to their politicians keeping their campaign promises, but Rep. Jack Bergman and President Donald Trump are doing exactly what they campaigned on. Constituents should expect this to continue for the remainder of this term, and in the years following.
