The scenario in Ukraine
EDITOR:
Dear Senators and Congresspersons,
Maybe you can help. It’s about a big problem I’ve seen in the neighborhood and a no-good aggressor is getting away with it. I saw it all; this one guy attacked his neighbor because he didn’t like the other’s politics. It wasn’t just verbal abuse, the aggressor actually stole the bikes of the kids next door, he severely damaged the neighbor’s car, and what is worse is that he moved his fence about 10 feet into the neighbor’s yard and is claiming it as his own. The abused neighbor has tried to complain, but the buddy of the aggressor got elected county commissioner and says he doesn’t see any problem. It is just willful collusion. This situation has hurt the neighbor greatly; his father had a heart attack, the kids are scared all the time and the wife won’t leave the house. I don’t know why everyone is not standing up to the bully in this case. Isn’t there any justice? Can you help?
Our hearts go out to the abused neighbor. We are enraged that the bully is getting away with it. It’s not just. And yet, this is the scenario in Ukraine, where the bully next door has attacked his neighbor, damaged his resources, hurt its people and stolen their land. And yet, when we cry out against it, the newly elected cozies up to the aggressor and doesn’t see any problem. Isn’t there any justice? Can you help?
Someone needs to tell the President that he is on the wrong side of history, decency and justice. Someone needs to be big enough to stand up and call a shovel, a shovel. Will you be the one?
