This letter is to draw your attention to an important millage election to benefit those brave men and women of the military who served our country. We have a fantastic Veterans Program that needs our help. The millage request is for 0.10 mills (equal to $0.10 per $1000.00 taxable value of all such property) for a period of 5 years. The money will be used to fund, equip, staff maintain and operate the County Department of Veterans Affairs in order to provide relief, support and assistance to all qualified veterans, their eligible spouses and families. If your property has a taxable of $100,000, the amount this millage will generate is $10 per year. Our veterans are worth it it for their service and their sacrifice. Please show them your support, as they have shown us their support.
