Don’t run the clock out in food safety
EDITOR:
On the view that “Immigration is a higher priority for Americans than it was a year ago” published January 8, 2025. I have to say that I can see why it’s a rising issue. But as stated, “It tends to be overshadowed by economic worries” Which I believe to be valid as it feels like we were almost buying gas for five dollars a gallon just yesterday. I think that we should worry about our own country’s stability before we can let others come vulnerable to the economic problems we have. It is important to realize that we need our country to be in a strong state before we are able to help others. Though a reason that this is becoming an issue is because Trump was elected. I can see why this might be an issue to someone who is more politically invested as Trump says he plans on, “Deporting illegal citizens” as America is supposed to be a safe haven to many. As this article states, “Americans under 30 want the government to focus on inflation.” As our country falls apart and younger generations watch older movies, hearing the prices they had for items such as groceries is unbelievable. As you could buy common groceries for much less than now. Middle class people are struggling to keep up with these ridiculous prices and for younger generations money is already tight. I do want to point out how both people above and under 30 want cheaper, more affordable products to fulfill their basic needs. The people of America can barely support their own so because of this I feel that Trump should focus more on economic changes than placing a border. This shows that climate change is an issue but it’s not as straightforward as it seems. People are tending to sway toward other issues. Which is absolutely okay. As our country is a little different than before. I think it would be a good idea to keep an eye on political change, though not entirely a “one issue voter” kind of a deal, due to there should be multiple reasons one candidate might suit you and your family and friends needs to support the country more than the other. And simply sometimes both candidates don’t see the big issues at hand before they go working on some outrageous decisions.
