Snack bags provided for youth program

This week’s bouquets go to:

Highline and Community Foundation for Delta County have partnered with the Escanaba Recreation Department to give away snack bags to the kids registered with the After School Program. The snack bags will be given out prior to Christmas Break.

The Catherine Bonifas Civic Center will be closed from December 22 – January 2 for students. Office hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during this time Monday -Friday. The gym floors will be waxed and the gym closed from December 26 -January 2.

Recreation Director Kim Peterson stated, “We are grateful for our sponsors and the working relationships we have to provide snack bags to the youth prior to Christmas Break. This is a perfect way to give the youth some extra food items and snacks to have during this time that our program is closed for the holidays. Highline and Community Foundation for Delta County have provided funds for us previously and we truly appreciate their support for offering this opportunity to youth again.”
