A special Veterans Day
This week’s bouquets go to:
From Vickie Micheau of Escanaba:
Thank you to everyone in the community who were involved in organizing such thoughtful and meaningful programs in recognition of our veterans. The events, including the lunch and ceremony at the Commerce Center, were wonderful reminders of the importance of gratitude and respect for our veterans. Thank you to all who participated in any way and thank you to all veterans for your service.

From Joan Smith – Army (WAC65-68):
A big thank you to all that made Veterans Day special, Veterans Center and U.P. Military museum, with lunch by the casino. It was absolutely amazing. Without a doubt the largest ever, as I have been going for awhile when not working.
Being a veteran myself, as is my husband. My dad was a World War II (Battle of the Bulge), son, brother, three brothers-in-law, nephew and a granddaughter have all served.
Please remember we have Honor Flights coming in 2025. One being all women (who only need DD214). Any veteran who has not participated is eligible. Please sign up, it is awesome.

From Dan and Gay Kleikamp:
Special thank you goes out to Holy Name School:
The veterans program on Monday, November 11th was outstanding. A special thanks to Mrs. LaCosse, the music teacher, for her direction of military and our national songs from the upper class men. The younger grades for their poems they memorized. For all who brought the program together.
To the Veterans Council who put together the wonderful program at the Chamber of Commerce and the speakers. All was very veteran honoring. I encourage everyone to visit the veterans museum and take classes there on field trips.
Again, we say thank you from the veterans and their families.
