Many helped with Christmas Basket Drive effort
This week’s bouquets go to:
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul would like to thank all those who made the 2022 Christmas Basket Drive a wonderful success this year. The efforts of businesses and individuals made sure that our neighbors in need could experience the love, joy, and warmth of this holiday season.
Special thanks to the gift donations and family sponsorships by First Bank Upper Michigan, Highline Internet, Upper Peninsula State Bank, Salem Lutheran Church in Bark River, OSF HealthCare St. Francis Hospital and Medical Group and Toys for Tots. Individuals also sponsored families: John and Jan Reardon, Kris and Stephanie Pfotenhauer, the Prey families, Jeanette Klein, Pat Scheuren, and Kathleen Civula. Budget Dollar Cash Liquidators and Shear Envy assisted by providing Angel Trees in their places of business. And thank you to those who donated to the food pantry so that each family received nutritious food.
There are too many people to mention and thank — those who made hats and mittens, donated toys and warm clothing, worked at the Ruth Butler Building assembling baskets and provided food for the volunteers. It was a true labor of love that culminated in a successful effort to assist those in need in our community. Thank you all for your generosity and support. May God bless.
