Thomas P. Geoffroy

HERMANSVILLE –Thomas P. Geoffroy, 84, of Hermansville passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center – Dickinson.

Tom was born in Port Huron, Mich., on April 27, 1940, son of the late Harley and Blanche (Cote) Geoffroy. He graduated from Port Huron High School in 1958. After high school Tom graduated from St. Claire Community College. On Oct. 7, 1961, Tom was married to Patricia in Alexandria, Virginia. Tom worked several jobs in his time, but he particularly enjoyed his time with Control Systems with Mark and Rex, working as a certified electrician for P & H, his part-time gig as an usher for The Island Resort and Casino, and Cedar River Lumber Co. He was also a proud member of the Powers/Spalding Volunteer Fire Department in his younger years. Tom was a talented artist and woodworker, making many beautiful toys. Reading and bird watching were also favorites when Tom had a little time to sit and relax. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, incredible stories, and his mischievous side which will likely be inherited by many of his pupils/great-grandchildren.

Tom will be deeply missed by his daughters, Patti (Mike) Gudwer and Beth (Jeff) Niemi; son-in-law, John St. John; sister, Jeffie (Al) Schilling; grandchildren, Josh (Sarah) St. John, Krystle St. John (Josh), Bobbi Jo (Derek) Allen, Thomas Wilkey (Kara), Sam (Sean) Keeley, Michaela (Peter) Wells, Nichole Gudwer, and Erynn Niemi (Josh); 19 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his wife, Pat Geoffroy, and daughter, Tery St. John.

Visitation will be at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home, 901 Carpenter Ave., Iron Mountain, from 2 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Tom’s name to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Children’s Wisconsin, Ronald McDonald House or the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
