Michael John Britton

He was born on April 9, 1960 in Escanaba and was raised in Bark River.

On November 8, 1979, Mike married the love of his life, Debra Jean Flath in Escanaba. They shared 45 years of marriage and had two daughters, Missy and Ashley who were everything to him.

Over the years, Mike worked a variety of jobs but dealt with health issues the majority of his life.

Mike loved hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, and making an ice rink for his daughters in the winter. He enjoyed playing cards and scrabble while listening to the oldies. Mike had an interest in old cards and motorcycles and could often be found putzing in his garage. Spending time with his wife were times he cherished and playing jokes on his family was a common pastime.

Mike always enjoyed visiting with his best friends, Dan and Cathy Johnson who were always there when he needed them.

Among survivors are his wife Debbie of Escanaba; two daughters, Missy (Shaun) Britton of Escanaba and Ashley (Josh) Britton of Bark River.

In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held.
