Lucienne I. ‘Lucy’ Bourdeau

ESCANABA — Lucienne I. “Lucy” Bourdeau, 85, of Escanaba, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay following a brief illness.
Lucy was born on April 24, 1939 in Strasbourg, France, and was the only child of Lucien and Emma (Kuster) Bach.
She met Arno R. “Bob” “Bullet” Bourdeau while he was serving in the U.S. Army and on February 1, 1961, they married in Germany. They spent 61 years together and had five children before his passing in June of 2022.
Lucy was a huge Detroit Red Wing and Green Bay Packer fan. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved baking, decorating, gardening, flowers, and being outside in the summer. Lucy also loved listening to music, feeding rabbits and birds, and loved all animals. She was kind to everyone and had a big heart.
Lucy is survived by her children, Christine Bach of Goetzenbruck, France, Susan (Len) Busbani of Escanaba, Robert (Lelani) Bourdeau of Escanaba, Michael (Kristin) Bourdeau of Gladstone, and Eddy (Jessica) Bourdeau of Ishpeming; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; multiple brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and several loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Along with her parents, Lucy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob; and a granddaughter, Tabitha Dahl.
Visitation will take place on Monday, April 21, from 3 until 5 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S 13th St, Escanaba. A funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor John Lewis officiating.
