Grace Marie Nebel

BRAMPTON — Grace Marie Nebel, 81, of Brampton peacefully passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2025 with her loving family by her side. She was born February 26, 1944 in Escanaba and was the daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy (McClish) Besson. She also loved her stepmom, Irene (McClish) Besson. She was the second oldest of nine girls in the Besson family. Grace married Thomas George Nebel on December 29, 1962. Grace and Tom celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Grace was a member of the Berean Baptist Church in Escanaba. She lived a life centered on faith, love, and service to others, always extending kindness, encouragement, and wisdom to those around her. She dedicated her life to God through work, family, and charity.

Grace is survived by her husband, Thomas; children George and Cheryl, Waxhaw, N.C., John and Linda, North Branch, Mich., David and Ron, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mary, Richland, Mich.; grandchildren, Eric, Jared, Lauren, Amber, Patrick, and Alyssa; and one great-grandchild, Emma. She loved her family and enjoyed a good laugh with her sisters!

Services will be at Berean Baptist Church in Escanaba on Friday April 4. A visitation from 10  to 11 a.m. and funeral services celebrating the life of Grace Nebel will be at 11 a.m. A light luncheon will follow the funeral service. Burial will take place in the Fernwood Cemetery at 2 p.m. The Anderson Funeral Home is assisting the Nebel family with the arrangements and online condolences can be sent to the family at www.andersonfuneralhomes.net.
