Nancy Faye Keeton

GLADSTONE — Nancy Faye Keeton, 88, passed away surrounded by loving family at home on Monday, March 3, 2025.

Nancy was born in Delaware, OH on December 4, 1936, the daughter of Delmar and Edith (Steed) Bryant. She attended and graduated from Big Prarie-Lakeville consolidated high school in Mansfield, Ohio in 1954. She furthered her education at Northern Michigan University and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s Of Science Degree in 1980. She worked for many years as a pianist at First Lutheran Church and Gladstone Area Schools for the chorus and choral. She also taught private piano lessons in her home. When most people are enjoying being grandparents and slowing down, Howard and Nancy bought a horse farm in Cornell and raised race horses often spending summers in Ohio training and racing harness race horses. Nancy was known for her love of reading and became a published author in 2012 with her first book, Summer of the Dragon. Her second book Homer’s Mill in was published in 2014.

She was united in marriage to Howard Keeton on June 16, 1962.

Nancy is survived by: her husband, Howard W Keeton, daughters Kimberlee (Michael) O’Donnell and Kristal (Robert) Soper,

Grandchildren Nancy (Jason) Beauvis, Megan (Donald) Kang, Patrick O’Donnell, Shannon (Josh Bittick) O’ Donnell, Michael O’Donnell, Madeline (Christopher) Lynch, William (Emily) Soper, Summer (Garreth) Matthews and great-grand children Lorelai, Lincoln, Freya, MaKayla, Ava, Donald, Thomas, Vanessa, Christopher, Matthew, Theodore, and in May Rosemary.

Nancy is preceded in death by: her parents, sister Mary, brother John and great-granddaughter Layla.

Family will receive friends Monday, March 10 at Skradski Funeral Home from 1 until 3 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Elisabeth Daniels officiating. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Keeton family.
