James F. ‘Jim’ DeGrand

ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. — James F. “Jim” DeGrand, of St. Pete Beach, Fla., passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2025 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Among survivors are his loving wife, Judy; and children Tammy and husband Mike Leal and Tony and wife Nancy DeGrand.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 29 at First Presbyterian Church, 819 1st Ave S., Escanaba, from 10 a.m. until the time of military honors at 11:45 a.m. The funeral service will immediately follow at noon with Pastor Daniel VanBeek and Pastor Dave Henderson officiating. At the conclusion of the service, a meal will be served in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Michigan Disabled American Veterans – Escanaba Vet Center, 301 N. 30th St., Escanaba, MI 49829 in Jim’s name. A complete obituary will be forthcoming. The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the DeGrand family.
