ESCANABA — Dorothy B. Derouin, 84, of Escanaba, passed away on Sunday evening, March 2, 2025 at Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba.
She was born on October 25, 1940 in Escanaba, daughter of Albert and Louise (Martin) Piche. Dorothy graduated from Holy Name High School.
On November 26, 1960, the former Dorothy Piche married Philip D. Derouin at St. Anne’s Church in Escanaba. They were blessed with 64 years of marriage and five children.
After raising her children, Dorothy worked at Circle M, Fantasia, and was a lunch hour supervisor at the Escanaba Schools.
She and Phil enjoyed being at their Round Lake camp and the years they wintered in Florida. Dorothy was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Among survivors include her husband, Philip of Escanaba; children, John (Crissy) Derouin of Michigan City, Ind., Karen (Dennis) Tryan of Escanaba, Paul Derouin of St. Paul, Minn., Julie (Tim) McCarthy of Escanaba, and Jason and Heidi Derouin of Arizona; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and sister, Mary of Green Bay, Wis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, March 7 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church with Rev. Timothy Ferguson officiating.
