Clifford John Marcella

He was born in Escanaba, on May 3, 1952, the son of Walter John and Mary Ann Elise (Chroge) Marcella and grew up on the family farm in Cornell. He graduated from Holy Name High School, Escanaba, in 1970. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served at Mare Island, Calif.

He was a heavy equipment mechanic for a paving company, and also worked at various auto sales lots and repair shops, as well as helping friends and neighbors with their vehicles.

Cliff is survived by his wife of 46 years, Elise Bouvier of Auburn, Calif.; one son, Craig (Erika) Marcella of Manistique; one daughter, Nathalie (Jason) Jojo of Auburn, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Louise (Robert Cortez) Hoffert of El Dorado,Calif.; one stepson, Christopher (Erin Baity) Gohs of Auburn, Calif.; one sister, Carol (Peter) Hollenbeck of Manistique; one brother, Robert Marcella of Cornell; grandchildren, Jersie and Macie Marcella, and Kylan Jojo; step-grandchildren, Melina, Christina and Andre Cortez; and two step-great grandchildren, Xyan Cortez and Zane Cortez; and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Funeral arrangements will be made at a future date in Auburn, Calif.
