Timothy Raymond Viau

GLADSTONE — Timothy Raymond Viau, 50, went home to his heavenly Father on Saturday, January 18, 2025, after a valiant battle with glioblastoma.

Tim was born August 9, 1974 to Raymond and Donna (Kregelka) Viau of Bark River. He graduated from Bark River High School in 1992 and happily spent the next 30 years driving truck for various forest product companies before finishing his career with CTS of Green Bay. On May 5, 2007, Tim married his soulmate Erin Lynn Beaudo of Menominee. The couple filled their shared years with love, laughter, and sweet dedication to each other and the family they built. They became parents to Ellamaria and Asher. Tim was a devoted father, uncle, and godfather, pouring love and guidance into each child in his life.

Tim’s life was characterized by a deep, steady faith in Christ, even through the harrowing 1 and a half years of suffering through cancer. He proudly served the Church and his community with the Knights of Columbus. Tim treasured the honor of being a 4th degree knight. He dedicated himself to protecting children, born and unborn, and encouraging others to depend on God. Tim was an avid camper, enjoying many days, nights, campfires, and cookouts with family and friends in Michigan’s outdoors. He was also a lifelong, diehard Detroit Lions fan.

To know Tim was to love Tim. Those close to him adored his huge smile and amazing hugs that conveyed the welcoming spirit of hospitality he offered to all who crossed his path. Tim had a big heart, full of gentleness, humility, and passion for God, family, and country.

Tim is survived by his beloved wife and children, his parents, his siblings, Christopher (Mary) Viau, Traci Viau, and April (Matthew) Sly, his in-laws David and Pam Beaudo, Adam (Jennifer) Beaudo, Brad (Tori) Gustafson, Rob (Melissa) Gustafson, Ben (Michelle) Belongie, and Megan Belongie, and many nieces and nephews.

Tim is now reunited with his and Erin’s three precious unborn children. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Elvera Viau, and Raymond and Flora Kregelka, mother-in-law and father-in law Connie and Bob Gustafson, and dear friend Timmer Getzloff

Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 23 from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Vigil Prayers will be led by Rev. Fr. Jamie Ziminski to conclude visiting hours.
