Rosemary (Rosie) Katarincic
ESCANABA — Rosemary (Rosie) Katarincic, 79, passed Monday, January 27, 2025. Coincidentally, her brother Emil, also passed on January 27 in 1998. She was born on March 14, 1945 in Escanaba, daughter of John and Mary (Minnerick) Katarincic. She was the youngest of eight in the family.
Rosemary graduated from Escanaba High School. She liked to sing, dance and be silly. She was always smiling and laughing. and she loved to give big hugs to everyone. She also loved getting cards in the mail, especially when she’d get pictures of her great nieces and nephews. She never threw any away and Rosemary loved showing her collection.
She passed away at St. Jude’s Assisted Living. She loved her second family there. We are so thankful for the many years of excellent care. In her last days, Rosemary was under hospice care and the special care of St. Jude’s staff. During that time, she told the staff that her brothers were waiting for her. We are sure they welcomed her with open arms. She was of Catholic Faith.
Rosemary had sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews that looked after her. She was special to them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Jane and her six brothers: John, Emil, Robert (Bud), Jim, Frank and Ken.
The family will celebrate her life in Christian Burial at Fernwood Cemetery. Any memorial contributions may be directed to UP Health Systems Hospice or St. Jude’s Assisted Living of Escanaba. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Katarincic family.
