Pamela Ann (Porath) Beauchamp

ESCANABA – Pamela Ann (Porath) Beauchamp, retired, born and raised in Escanaba, passed away Thursday, December 26, at the age of 62.

Born on February 3, 1962 and a graduate of Escanaba High School class of 1980, Pam lived in Leesburg, Florida during the winter months, while returning to the U.P. every summer.

Pam enjoyed working in the hospitality industry after high school but devoted her life to her husband and family. Pam married James J. Beauchamp of Escanaba in 1987 and was happily married for over 37 years.

Pam is survived by her husband, Jim; her son, James D. Karaga of Escanaba; her daughter-in-law, Michelle (Stone) Karaga; her daughter, Jamie J. (Beauchamp) Carlson; son-in-law, Brian Carlson; three granddaughters, Kennedy Jasmund, Sofia Karaga, and Araceli Wandahsega; two sisters, Cindy (Porath) Martin and Lisa (Porath) VanDrese and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Pam is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Nancy Porath; brother, Steven Porath; and sisters, Debra (Porath) Thompson and Sandra (Porath) Elya.

Pam was an avid collector of all things “Wizard of Oz,” backed the Pack(ers), shopped ’til she dropped, loved bowling, competitive card/board games, going on outdoor adventures, and most of all spending time with family and friends. Pam’s fun-loving spirit and contagious laugh will be missed by all.
