Gerald ‘Jerry’ A. Vallier

GLADSTONE — Gerald “Jerry” A. Vallier, 86, of Gladstone passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 at his home.

Jerry was born April 25, 1938 in Rapid River, the son of Joseph and Alice (Larson) Vallier. He attended Perkins School and graduated from Gladstone Area Schools.

Jerry was united in marriage to Maxine Kalishek on September 27, 1958. Jerry and Maxine enjoyed numerous years of traveling in their motorhome and wintering in Florida. Jerry especially enjoyed their Alaska trips. His most cherished years were spent at their farm in Rock. Jerry also enjoyed tinkering with his equipment. From excavators to bulldozers, he liked it all. He was also a beloved Packer fan.

In addition to his loving wife of over 66 years, Maxine, Jerry is survived by, son, Clifford (Deb) Vallier, daughter, Allison (Barry Gokee) Vallier, sister, Joan Johnson, daughter-in-law, Amy Vallier, 10 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, special aunt, Sue Larson, in-laws, Gary (Donna “Fred”) Kalishek, Ruth Vallier, Cheryl (Dennis) Bernard, Florence Kalishek, Janet Kalishek and Karen Russell.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by, two sons, Paul (special friend, Kelly) and Scott Vallier, brother, Jim and Dan Vallier.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 11, from 1 until 3 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services honoring Jerry will follow at 3 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. A luncheon will take place at All Saints Catholic Church parish hall.
