Flora Lee ‘Dee Dee’ Jarvis

BARK RIVER — Flora Lee “Dee Dee” Jarvis, 88, of Bark River, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at her home.

She was born on December 9, 1936 in Wallace, the oldest of 12 children of George W. and Flora M. (Leeson) Ives. Flora was raised in Wallace and graduated from Stephenson High School in 1955. Following graduation, Flora moved to Racine, Wis. and worked at Andis Clippers Co and Kohl Food.

On May 19, 1956, the former Flora Ives married James Jarvis at Bethel Mission in Wallace.

In July of 1970, Flora and James moved to Bark River where they raised their family and farmed for 17 years. Flora enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and loved working on crafty things including crocheting and knitting. She was a member of the Bark River Bible Church.

Among survivors are her children, John Jarvis and Tim Jarvis of Perronville, and Mark (Diane) Jarvis of Kingsford; grandchildren, Ashley Jarvis, Cindy Williams, Amanda Jarvis, Joshua Jarvis, Timothy Jarvis, Jayce Jarvis and Emma Jarvis; and 11 great-grandchildren and siblings, Don, Lois, Gale “Peanut”, Peggy, Barbara, Laurel “Lolly”, George, Bruce, Marcia, and Gary; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; daughter-in-law, Mary Jarvis; and brother, Roger Ives. A visitation will take place on Thursday, January 30th from 1 to 3 p.m. Eastern Time at the Crawford Funeral Chapel, 1236 Old Hwy 2 & 41, Bark River. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Perronville. A message of condolence may be directed to the family by visiting www.crawfordfuneralhomes.net.
