Everett ‘Robbie’ Robinson

GLADSTONE — Everett “Robbie” Robinson, 85, of Gladstone passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Lakeview Assisted Living in Gladstone.

Everett was born July 5, 1939 in Gladstone, the son of Daniel and Vera (Tupper) Robinson. He attended and graduated from the Gladstone High School. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Cole on October 15, 1960 at the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and following his Honorable Discharge he attended Bay de Noc College and eventually began working for the Mead Paper Company . Everett worked at Mead for 42 years, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed hunting, tinkering and working on cars, car rides with Bonnie, spending time with and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and making the best pancakes for his family. He was a member of First Lutheran Church and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

Everett is survived by his children, Kelly (Pete) Rasmussen of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Ron (Kelly) Robinson of Gladstone; grandchildren, Heather (Tom) Andree, Bryan Robinson, Christopher (Maggie) Rasmussen, Kasey (Sarek) Buchan, Nicolas (Emily) Rasmussen, Marc (Ellie) Rasmussen, Kameron (Erin) Rasmussen, Anna Rasmussen, Stefin (Lindsey) Robinson, Cainan (Samantha) Robinson and Megan Robinson; great-grandchildren, Peter Rasmussen and Kollynns Robinson; siblings, Fred and Danny Robinson, Wanda Wills, Brenda Chenier, Almeda Bricker and Linda Drossard and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie, son Michael, daughter, Sherri Robinson, his parents, brothers, Edsel, Clay, Stafford and Raymond and sisters, Catherine Alexander and Dorothy Drossard.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. with Pastor Elisabeth Daniels officiating. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall. Everett will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery.
