Wayne Joseph Waeghe
ESCANABA — Wayne Joseph Waeghe, age 67, of Escanaba passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.. surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 2, 1957 in Escanaba and was the son of Raymond and Jean (Doutre) Waeghe. Wayne graduated from Escanaba High School in 1974 and began his working career in the food industry at Crispigna’s Restaurant in Escanaba. Wayne was a hard worker and worked his way up to the manager. He enjoyed many years working there with great coworkers and enjoyed talking to customers. Wayne took a job as a salesman for Sysco foods in 1992. He excelled at his job and made many friends along the way. Wayne cared for many of his customers and his colleagues became lifelong friends. He retired in 2019.
He enjoyed boating, traveling to Florida to see his son and granddaughters, and traveling to Arizona with his beloved sister Jan and brother-in-law Gary Johnson. Wayne was patient, kind, and always had a smile on his face. He loved being out on the lake, spending time at camp in the woods, and most of all being with his family.
Wayne is survived by his son Timothy Waeghe of Florida, daughter Jill (Jeff) Pascoe of Escanaba; seven grandchildren Maxwell, Madeya, Quinn, and Macey Pascoe; Kaelyn, Elanny, and MaKayla Waeghe; brother Allen (Patsy) Waeghe, sister Barb (Jim) West, and sister Janet (Gary) Johnson, and many nieces and nephews.
He passed from this earthly life surrounded with love by his children and siblings and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday at St. Joseph and St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Timothy Ferguson officiating. A luncheon will be served following the funeral services in church fellowship hall. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
