Marvin James Jacques
AMES, Iowa — Marvin James Jacques, 69, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024 in Ames, Iowa.
Marvin was born on August 11, 1955 in Escanaba, the son of Ernest and Viola Jacques. He served in the U.S. Navy until he was medically discharged and worked at Executive Express. Marvin was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and was awarded his 7-year pin on July 6. A great man good friend, father, brother and grandfather who was taken too soon. Marvin especially enjoyed spending time with grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Viola Jacques; brothers, Robert and John and sisters, Mary Jacques, Marilyn Benoit, Nancy Kasbohm and Peggy Baumler; brothers-in-law, Stan Benoit, Peter Kasbohm and Lester Millette; and sister-in-law, Darlene (LaMarche) Jacques.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; daughters, Jennifer (Nicholas) Shult, Chelsea Jacques, Abigail Jacques, Tiara Jacques; grandsons, Emmet and Alexander Shult and Kailo Jacques; brothers, Wayne (Shirley) Jacques, Norbert (Sue) Jacques, Jerome (Georgia) Jacques, Gerald Jacques, Richard (Patty) Jacques, David (Cheryl) Jacques; sisters, Mary Millette, Rose (Jim) Peltier, Bonnie (Tom) Royer, Carol (LeRoy) Couper; sister-in-law, Margaret Denesha; brother-in-law, Fred Baumier; and nieces and nephews.
Service for Marvin Jacques will be held in Ames, Iowa at a later date.
