Jeffrey John Zellar
GULLIVER — Jeffrey John Zellar, 58, of Gulliver, Mich., passed away on December 15, 2024, with his family by his side after a long battle with ALS. He was born on June 2, 1966, to his parents Stanley Zellar and Joanne Snyder Zellar. Jeff completed high school with the graduating class of 1984 at Manistique High School. In June of 1993, he married Linda Lee Swanson and together they raised their two daughters.
Jeff worked at Port Inland and his father’s logging company for years, before deciding to start his own operation, Bear Creek Logging which he successfully ran for twelve years. He was passionate about logging and forestry becoming a certified Master Logger. Jeff loved deer season. Each year he eagerly awaited opening day; it could not come quick enough for him. Family time was especially important to Jeff and he enjoyed spending time with them at the cabin he built. He enjoyed camping trips to Grand Marais with family in the summer. Gathering with friends was important to him and that may have included a glass of crown!
