Shirley Millicent Beaudry

She was born on May 6, 1934 in Sault St. Marie, Mich., daughter of Thomas D. and Luella F. (Hicks) Coen. She graduated from Escanaba High School in 1952.

Shirley was a bookkeeper at the Red Owl. She continued bookkeeping at various other businesses after the Red Owl closed in 1985.

A lover of all animals, she enjoyed walking down by the park and seeing all of the wildlife and dog-walkers. In her younger years, she also enjoyed golfing with her girlfriends.

Shirley was a proud member of the Central United Methodist Church and a past member of the Eagles Club.

Among survivors are her children, Sherry (Mark) Larche of Manistique, Mich. and Greg Beaudry of Livonia, Mich.; her grandchildren, Toni (Gary) Doup of Duluth, Minn. and Michelle (Ben) Varoni of Green Bay, Wis.; and four great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Shirley will be laid to rest in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park on Tuesday, November 26, at 11a.m. CST. A message of condolence can be directed towards the family at www.crawfordfuneralhomes.net. The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Beaudry family.
