Cheryl A. (Villeneuve) Opalewski
GERMANTOWN, Wis. — Cheryl A. Opalewski, 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022 at hospice in Milwaukee, Wis.
Cheryl was born June 13, 1945 in Escanaba, Mich. She was the daughter of Harold (Blackie) and Alverna “Flossie” Villeneuve. She graduated from Escanaba High School in 1963. Following graduation she moved to Milwaukee, Wis., where she was employed by Masterlock Corp. for 20 years.
Cheryl is survived by her children, David (Melinda) Opalewski of Fox Lake, Wis., and her loving daughter, Terri Lynn (Tom) Schlueter of Hartland, Wis.
In addition to her parents, Cheryl is preceded in death by her brother, Gary L. (Miharu) Villeneuve of California.
Cheryl is survived by three siblings, Rose (Tom) Fisher of Escanaba, Bonnie Underkoffler of New York and Daniel (Bunny) Villeneuve of Escanaba.
Cheryl loved being with her family and grandchildren, Emma and Luella Opalewski of Fox Lake, Wis.
She loved her crafts, puzzles, and playing slots.
Cheryl was cremated and there will be graveside services in Holy Cross Cemetery, Escanaba, Mich., in the spring of 2023.
