Julie Anne Tufnell

Julie was born August 14, 1974 at the K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base. She graduated from the Rapid River High School in 1992. She worked at JC Penney, the Island Resort and Casino and Meijer. Julie was united in marriage to Cory Tufnell on August 13, 2022 in Wells. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed her summers in AuTrain with family and friends, kayaking and camping.

Julie is survived by her husband, Cory of Escanaba; daughters, Sarah Dowd and Hannah Simmons; sons, Zaine Dowd, Tyler LaFond and Nathan Tufnell; grandchildren, Audrie and Anden; her father, William “Bill” Springer; her brother, Rob Livingston; her sister, Melissa Ettenhofer; nieces, Rayne, Airyn and Allie and Robert Livingston.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Springer.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Memorial United Methodist Church in Gladstone. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. with Pastor Terri Branstrom officiating. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall.
