Audrey Curry

GLADSTONE — Audrey Curry passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022, at the age of 80 years after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on December 19, 1941, to the late Anna Saliga and Ignatius Miskowitz in Chicago, Illinois.

Audrey was a loving mother who made many sacrifices for her children and family. She was such a joy to everyone around her. She retired from the Delta Schoolcraft Intermediate School District. She enjoyed hobbies such as playing in a golf league at the Terrace Bluff Country Club in Gladstone and golf tournaments with her friends and family around the entire UP. She also enjoyed fishing and was an avid deer hunter back in the day. She enjoyed teaching Catechism at St. Charles Borromeo in Rapid River, and she also enjoyed crafting Christmas and Halloween decorations. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Escanaba. She was funny, witty, and loved telling jokes. She even kept a file of jokes for telling at the right time. She especially loved dogs and her favorite was Cody, her pet Yorkie-Poo.

She is survived by her spouse, Mo Curry; brother, Wally (Judy) Majszuk; children, Mark (Jackie) Majestic and Scott Majestic; grandchildren, Megan (Nate) Konwinski, Mathew (Emily) Majestic, Sara Majestic, Heather (Alex Scales) Heiser, and Theodore Heiser; and her great-grandchild, Paige Konwinski.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Lorrain Laurenkus and Dorothy Laman; and grandson, Kyle Majestic.

A private family service will be held at the Rapid River cemetery at a later date, with interment immediately following the service.
