GARDEN — Judith Mae Napora, age 81, of Garden, Mich., passed away peacefully on July 21, 2022, at Schoolcraft Medical Care Facility in Manistique, Mich. She was born on August 9, 1940, in Garden, the daughter of Myron and Freda (Boudreau) Farley. She attended schools in Garden.
Judy was a dedicated homemaker, who truly enjoyed cooking and decorating, canning foods, and wallpapering. She was a lifetime resident of Garden, and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for many years. She loved going to camp and was well known as the camp cook. In Garden she was the hostess for many community and family events, making food and a welcoming environment for everyone to honor special occasions. Judy loved to travel and was able to visit many places across the United States, from Alaska to New York. Along the way, Judy always took the time to honor our veterans, stopping at many military memorials. Her grandkids and great-grandchildren were everything to her.
She is survived by her daughters, Laura (Scott) Lucas of Garden, and Penny (Robert) Vertz of Garden; daughter-in-law, Janet Guertin; sister, Connie Wilson of Garden; and grandchildren, Angela, Tyler, Heather, Nicole, Samantha, Leah, Logan; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Taylor, Leland, Kashus, Wyatt, Alida, Saylor and Aurora. She is preceded in death by her parents, Myron and Freda Farley, her husband Rex Napora; and son Mark Guertin.
Celebration of Life will take place at the Garden Congregational Church in Garden, on Thursday, July, 28, 2022 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Memorial donation in Judy’s name may be sent to the Garden American Legion Post #545 or the Garden Historical Society.
