Along with other members of the community who volunteered to distribute Easter “baskets” to veterans, Charles Becker, board chair for the Community Foundation for Delta County, prepares for the drive-through event that gave each veteran a ham, a bag of onions, a bag of potatoes, a loaf of bread, frozen meat, canned goods and more. The annual outreach is facilitated by the Community Foundation and made possible by the donations of many area organizations and businesses. The Easter baskets were distributed by the Community Foundation for Delta County Tuesday at the U.P. State Fairgrounds.
