Between 80 and 100 protesters gathered at the intersection on Lincoln Road and Ludington Streets Saturday to tell their elected officials to keep their hands off programs such as Social Security, Medicaid, and VA benefits. The protest was just one of hundreds organized nationwide and throughout the Upper Peninsula Saturday. Other protests were held in Marquette, Houghton and Iron Mountain. Delta County Unified and area residents took part in the local protest. The Indivisible and 50501 groups organized the nationwide protests.
