Gladstone man arrested after crash in Negaunee
NEGAUNEE – Two individuals sustained minor injuries following a traffic crash involving a driver under the influence.
On April 21, at approximately 7:07 p.m., the Negaunee Police Department responded to an accident involving a white Ford F150 and a black Chevrolet Silverado in Negaunee City on County Road 480 near Old 480. The Ford, driven by a 56-year-old Negaunee man, was traveling west on County Road 480 when the Chevrolet, driven by a 33-year-old Gladstone man, crossed the center line and caused a collision. Both drivers were transported to UPHS Marquette for treatment for their injuries. Both were later released with minor injuries. The investigation found the driver of the Chevrolet to be under the influence, and he was arrested. The Negaunee City Police Department was assisted on the scene by the Negaunee City Fire Department, the Michigan State Police (MSP), the Ishpeming City Police Department, UPHS EMS, and Anttila’s Towing.
