Micheau elected president of Michigan fairs association

ESCANABA — Vickie Micheau, executive director of the Delta County Chamber of Commerce, the management agency for the Upper Peninsula State Fair, was elected to serve as President of the Board of Directors for the Michigan Association of Fairs and Exhibitions (MAFE) during the organization’s 140th Annual Convention in Grand Rapids Jan. 9 – 11.
“I’m proud to have been elected to serve as president on the Michigan Association of Fairs and Exhibitions with members who are dedicated to sharing their time and expertise to continuously improve fairs and festivals in the great State of Michigan,” said Micheau.
Micheau has now served two, three-year terms as the member-at-large on MAFE’s 11-member board, which includes representatives from across the state.
The Michigan Association of Fairs and Exhibitions promotes the development of agriculture and related industries, coordinates the objectives of fairs and exhibitions across the state, informs and educates its members through meetings and an annual convention, and encourages participation of youth in these endeavors.
