RAPID RIVER — An informative meeting on overdose awareness, intended to be a call to action for the community to reduce incidents, will take place Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Held at the Masonville Township Hall at 10584 N. Main St. in Rapid River at 7 p.m., the meeting will provide the public with perspectives on addiction and drug use from a doctor, law enforcement officials, parents who have lost children, and a person who has struggled with substance use disorder.

Questions will be taken after the presentations.

Representatives from programs that offer assistance and resources to individuals and families dealing with addiction will also be present.
