ESCANABA — The Annual Community Cancer Alliance Luminary Event will be held Saturday, February 8, at 2 p.m. at Blessed Hope Baptist Church, 2530 14th Avenue South.

This event supports the community coming together to support cancer survivors and loved ones lost to cancer.

A previous story about the event listed the wrong address for the location

This is a family event. The doors will be open at 1 p.m. There will be tables filled with art supplies and luminary bags that can be purchased for $5 each to individually decorate

At 2 p.m. the the luminary bags will be beautifully displayed followed by a ceremony of “Memory and Honor”.

Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

If you would like to decorate bags but cannot be at the event they will be available at the DCCA office, 3430 Ludington Street. Payment will be accepted when completed to be displayed either at the office or the day of the event.
