Emergency responders work to gain access to the interior of a vehicle after a collision occurred at the intersection of Danforth Road and North Lincoln Road Thursday afternoon between a pickup truck from Missouri and a Wetmore registered Subaru Legacy. Occupants of the vehicles were taken to OSF St. Francis Hospital from the scene, including two children, aged nine and ten, who suffered head and abdominal injuries. An elderly couple was also reportedly involved in the crash. The crash may have resulted in one fatality, judging from actions by first responders at the scene. Responding to the incident, which was called in around 1:20 p.m., were Escanaba Public Safety, U.P. Health System, Michigan State Police, Delta County Sheriff’s Department and others.
