Memorabilia and sports card show Feb. 8 in Escanaba
ESCANABA — Escanaba’s Super Sports Cards and Memorabilia Show will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Delta Chamber of Commerce building at 1001 N. Lincoln Rd.
Longtime collectors may recall a sports card show that used to be held at the Delta Plaza mall in the ’90s, but it’s been a long time since an event of this sort has been held in Escanaba.
Organizer Adam Hinch, who used to run a similar event in his hometown of Ashland, Wis., has himself been collecting sports cards since the age of seven, coaches Little League baseball, and is currently a sports writer for the Daily Press. He said that the hobby of collecting — of various items — began to rise during COVID and has been going strong.
While sports memorabilia may be the focus, traders of many other collectibles will also have wares at the Feb. 8th show. In addition to jerseys, trading cards, and other sports-related collectibles, participating vendors are expected to bring Pokemon cards, Magic: The Gathering cards, comics, video games, movies, and more.
Admission is $2, and half of the admission fees collected will be donated to the Delta Animal Shelter.
Vendors may still register by contacting Hinch at 715-292-9137.
