GLADSTONE — A Gladstone home was destroyed by fire Monday morning.

At 6:39 a.m. Gladstone Public Safety officers were dispatched to a home at 719 Michigan Avenue, near All Saints Catholic Church, for a report of smoke in the home. When officers arrived on scene the fire had spread to the walls of the home.

Firefighters left the scene around 9:30 a.m. The home was a total loss.

No injuries were reported related to the fire. The family that lived in the home was able to exit the building with their pets. They are now being assisted by the Red Cross.
