A baby boy, Sterling Marshall Zelenak, was the first baby born in the new year at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba. Sterling was born Jan. 2, 2025 at 11:25 p.m. to Kerry Droska and Marshall Zelenak. The baby is the couple’s first child and also the first grandchild and great-grandchild on his mother’s side. He weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces and was 19 inches long at birth. Sterling’s paternal grandparents are Paul and Lynn Zelenak. His maternal grandparents are Holly Zar and Jon Droska. His great-grandparents are Linda and Kelly Wicklund, Judy Droska, Maureen and Jeff Zar, and Jesse and Lois Wilson.
